How it works
One collection of cards, and four places to use it. Time to first card is under twenty seconds, and it never needs a sign-up.
In ChatGPT & Claude
Ask your AI to turn anything you are discussing into cards. It calls Caird through MCP, and quizzes you right there in the chat.
Standalone web app
Open caird.app, point the camera at a page, drop in a file or paste your notes. Cards appear with a link back to their source.
Mobile app
Add it to your home screen and it installs like an app: opens instantly, works with the camera, reminds you when cards are due.
Offline
Review, edit and search with no signal. FSRS schedules every card on your device; the cloud is a backup, not a requirement.
Prettier than Anki. Just as smart.
The same FSRS scheduler and your same decks — in an app that is a pleasure to open. What Anki needs add-ons and an afternoon of settings for, Caird does on first launch.
| Anki | Caird | |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduler | FSRS | FSRS — the same algorithm |
| Your existing decks | Yours | Import them, keep the history, export back any time |
| Works offline | Yes | Yes, on phone and desk |
| Photo, PDF or link → cards | Add-ons | Built in |
| Inside ChatGPT and Claude | Third-party bridges | Built in, through MCP |
| Getting started | Note types, options groups, add-ons | Zero setup: open it and study |
| On a phone | Separate apps per platform | One app, installs from the browser |
| Look and feel | Desktop-first, themes via add-ons | One clean card, a thumb-friendly flip |

Get Caird where you learn.
One collection, three doors. Installing takes a minute, and there is no app store in between.
On your phone or desk
Caird installs straight from the browser: an icon on the home screen, opens without a browser bar, works with no signal.
In Claude
Claude can install it itself. Copy the prompt, paste it into Claude, and it adds Caird to its own tools.
Prefer to do it by hand? The config is on the setup page. The hosted connector and @caird/mcp on npm open with v0.2.
In ChatGPT
Settings → Connectors → add https://caird.app/mcp, sign in once, and your decks are there for every conversation.
v0.2 The hosted connector opens together with sync.
Bring your decks. Keep your history. Go back anytime.
Import from Anki, try Caird, and export back without losing your learning history. Not an import checkbox — a round trip.
